Hello everyone,
This week had a couple cool details in it that I'll share. The Lord has definitely had His hand in this week (as always =]). Wednesday, we had a dinner appointment scheduled with a recent convert who went less active, but came to church two Sunday's ago. Her name is A. and she has a son and his friend that live with her. We went to refresh A. on the message of the Restoration and ended up getting a member present and picking up someone new to teach. Ac. the friend of A.'s son was there when we were for dinner. He had some questions about how is man made in God's image and other questions. We told him that we would be teaching A. and would love to have him stay and ask questions if he would like. Now Ac., by first appearances looks scary. He has long hair and a long beard, has a band, and you would think he is the kind who would drive a Harley and be a member of Hell's Angels or something along those lines. However, he was sincere in learning more about the church and what we had been talking to him about. So needless to say, we gave him a Book of Mormon, a pamphlet, and a reading assignment in Alma 18 (he said he believes in The Great Spirit) and set up a return appointment which will be held this evening after P-day is over. I know the Holy Ghost was with us when we were there the first time and I hope that it will be there again to help him understand the things that we teach.
On Sunday, the daughter of some members brought one of her friends to church. They are both young women aged. The friend, her name is M. and she came up to us and asked us if we could teach her and so she could learn more. She expressed her interest in the church and wanted to meet with us. I do hope that we can see her more and start teaching her as well. Heavenly Father is definitely helping us find the elect out here, I love it!
A little more news for the week, I am going to be taking over the area and training a new sister missionary for the next couple of transfers. That's all for this week, hope everyone has a wonderful week!
