Hello everyone,
Not a whole lot happened this past week.
We try formers, potentials, visit less actives and recent converts. A
lot of the potentials and formers weren't home or weren't too interested
in learning again. So sad they really don't know what they are missing
out on and they won't take the time to listen. Since we baptized our two
strongest investigators, we have been trying to find more people to
teach through street contacting and referrals from members. We have
found some good potentials that hopefully we will be able to follow up
with this week and maybe start teaching at least one of them if not all
of them. Saturday, we stopped by J.'s because his daughter was turning
5 and we got her a giant coloring book for $1 and some unopened
colored pens we had in the apartment. Joz. is quite the character, I
absolutely adore her. Pictures of that to follow this email. Also on
Saturday, we were able to do some service by helping one of the kids here
with his eagle scout project. We even met some potential investigators
there who were people from the neighborhood around the eagle project at
the park we were at just coming to help out. It was a great service
experience. One of the people from the neighborhood who isn't a member
is from Brazil, she knows English fairly well but man, I wish I knew Portuguese so I could talk to her in her own language, oh well. It is
one of those weeks where you feel like you have done so much but the
numbers don't show for it. Then again, missionary work was never about
numbers it is about the people and doing all you can to help them come
unto Christ even if it is just a pass along card or a pamphlet. By small
and simple things are great things brought to pass. Love you all and
hope you have a wonderful week!
